Whale watching tours

During Spring in the months of September and October the waters off Narooma are known as the Humpback Highway with around 35000 making their way back to Antarctic waters.
Humpback Whales are the most acrobatic of all whale species often putting on a spectacular show of breeches, tail slaps and spy hops. Narooma in spring is one of the best whale watching destinations in the world.

Whale Watching
Between September 1st to 31st October on a dedicated whale watching tour we will guarantee you see a whale.
Since 2009 we have had a remarkable success rate only missing on a couple of occasion. We are proud of that record and at times have really gone the extra miles for our customers on their day to ensure success.
Our boats are amazing Whale Watching vessels, they are a fast  fun ride which means you get to the whales quickly with a smile on your face.
​When we are with the whales our Yamaha outboard engines are whisper quiet, in fact so quiet you can hear the whales breathe.

  • Will we see Whales? - We Guarantee Whales between 1st September to 31st October on our dedicated Whale Watching Tours. We have been successful all but a couple of times since beginning whale watching in 2009, if we miss we will give you a free return trip for that season.
  • What is the best time of the day to whale watch? - Mornings are usually the calmest part of the day, although there is no set rule we find the morning trip regularly produces quality whale interactions and active behavior of the whales.
  • How far do you have to go to see whales? - Everyday is different sometimes the whales are really close to the coastline and we will see them in the first five minutes of the trip. Other days we may need to travel to find pods of whales that's when our fast travelling RIB boats are great as we have the capability to cruise along quickly to get to the whales.
  • How many Whales travel along the coastline? - There are estimated 35,000 Humpback Whales on the east coast migration.
  • Is there a toilet on the boat? - Yes both our Vessels have onboard bathroom facilities.
